Who is Dr Ohhira?

Dr. Iichiroh Ohhira is a well renowned Japanese microbiologist who created, through a breeding program, a special strain of lactic acid bacteria, known as E. faecalis TH10. Being 6.25 times more potent than any other strain of lactic acid bacteria, it’s a powerful addition to an already potent mix of multi-strain bacteria in his special blend of probiotic. And Dr. Ohhira has kept his discovery all to himself, which is why you can only find it in his own personal blend, Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics 12 Plus. It’s so good that it has won several awards around the world.

What’s so special about E. faecalis TH10?

Dr. Ohhira’s research team bred the unique Enterococcus Faecalis TH10 strain of bacteria from tempeh, which is considered a delicacy in Malaysian food. Not only did it prove highly potent, but also proved to be extremely effectual at fighting off even the most deadly antibiotic resilient strains of bad bacteria.

Why do I need Probiotics?

You may look healthy on the outside, but are you really healthy inside? Most of us don’t realize just how important a healthy digestion really is. Truly good health relies greatly upon having a healthy digestive tract. Your colon contains around four pounds of bacteria, and at least 85% of this amount ought to be friendly bacteria. When it isn’t, you could have problems.

There is an essential link between our colon, digestive system and our immune system. Friendly bacteria feed and strengthen our immunity and help create antibodies. Unfriendly bacteria drain and deplete our immunity. When we fill ourselves with friendly flora it can also act as a blocking agent; in other words there is no room for unfriendly bacteria to set up home.

We are all perhaps lacking in friendly bacteria, but some of us had a slower start than others. If you were born via C-section, or were not breast fed then you missed out on essential bacteria that starts to activate our immune system from an early age. Perhaps you grew up in a more sterile environment than others. Should this be the case there is an even better reason for you to use probiotics in order to give your immune system the boost it missed out on.

We also obtain many of our friendly bacteria from lacto-fermented foods such as fruit, dairy products and probiotic yoghurts. If you are like me, and don’t eat enough of this kind of food, then you could be lacking in friendly flora.

What’s in Dr Ohirra's probiotics 12 plus?

As the name indicates, there are 12 strains of live and viable lactic acid bacteria inside Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics, along with a blend of natural products, vitamins, minerals and amino acids all derived from around 90 different kinds of natural and organic ingredients.

Everything is grown in a natural, non-diary environment which produces this rich mix. This environment is 100% vegetarian, unpolluted and all materials used are raw; so it’s ideal for raw food practitioners. The final product is dairy, bovine and GMO free. Each serving is 100% natural, organic and hypoallergenic. Everything is blended and mixed with pure mountain spring water, and the entire product is completely devoid of any colourings, preservatives and animal by-products.

There are actually two versions of the product: the original formula, which is fermented for 3 years, and the professional formula, which is fermented for 5 years. This process combines both ancient and modern Japanese techniques. The longer fermentation period actually strengthens the bacteria, making it even more potent. The colony forming units (CFU) in the original formula is 900 million per capsule, while the professional formula is just 600 million per capsule. While there may be a lower CFU (which is because the weaker bacteria dies off), the longer fermentation period increases potency, so you may get less, but it’s way more powerful. Additionally, upon ingestion the bacteria actually replicates every 30 minutes for around 8 hours.

Each capsule contains the following strains of bacterium:

Also many different special Japanese fruits, herbs and plants, including:

What can probiotics do for you?

Aside from repopulating your gastrointestinal (GI) tract with friendly flora, Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics 12 plus provides a number of benefits to the user. It can help to restore the colon’s optimal ph level, along with ensuring healthy bowel movements, improving digestion, easing constipation and diarrhoea, reducing bloating, boosting immunity and alleviating some of the symptoms of many stomach or intestinal ailments such as:

Crohns disease

IBS

Leaky gut

Food poisoning

Dr. Ohhira’s discovery of the unique strain of E. faecalis TH10 is known to help many serious, life-threatening ailments such as:

Anthrax (whether it’s a natural strain or a strain developed for bio terrorism)

MRSA

Peptic ulcers

The product can also help protect against asthma, and can even be taken by the mother during pregnancy (although you should consult your doctor first). It’s effective against many skin conditions like eczema or food-related allergies. If you are a wife who is at her wits end with her husband’s incessant snoring, then you will be relieved to know that this product can help reduce incidents of snoring; mainly because it eases nasal congestion. So why not slip him a few capsules each day and get a more peaceful sleep?

How does it come?

Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics 12 Plus comes in capsule form. The end product is a raw paste that is packed with nutrients. It’s rigorously tested by Japan Food Research Laboratories to ensure that each batch of raw paste contains the optimal level of organic acids. This is advantageous to many other freeze-dried probiotics because the each bacterium is alive within the capsule, and will go to work immediately upon release. Freeze-dried products must be re-activated afterwards.

Working with Fuji, Dr Ohhira has developed a special material with enteric coating that will guarantee preservation of the abundance of nutrients inside. This enteric-coated capsule ensures that the bacteria is delivered straight to its destination and is not weakened or destroyed by harmful stomach acids.

How to store them

Dr. Ohhira’s Probiotics 12 Plus doesn’t need to be refrigerated. It can be stored at room temperature, which is excellent news for people who travel a lot. It means that you won’t have to leave your probiotics at home when you go away. You just need to make sure you keep them away from direct sunlight and extremes of hot and cold.
